This was the best rooftop experience I have had. It hands down beats the Lotte Tower in Seoul and the Empire State Building.
We paid 47000 won per person, which gets you entry to the 78th rooftop floor of the Mahanakhon and as the official blurb says “Located in the heart of the city, this ticket grants access to the breathtaking observation deck on the top floors of the building, offering panoramic views of the city skyline. Visitors can marvel at the stunning sights of Bangkok from above, with unobstructed views in every direction. The ticket also includes access to the thrilling glass floor on the SkyWalk, allowing visitors to look down and see the bustling city below their feet.“
We arrived about an hour before sunset, and as can be expected, it was fairly busy at the top, but the views are fantastic. The weather was warm, and there was no wind due to the protective glass around the sides. For the brave, you can walk on the glass floor and look down several hundred feet to the streets below.

Provided you are prepared to buy 2000 Baht worth of food and drink, you can be seated at a table that has great views of the sunset in a roped-off area. I am so glad we chose to do this. Sitting there sipping a beer while watching the sunset and the nighttime city lights appear was a great experience.

I can’t recommend this enough as a to-do when in Bangkok.
