The first full week I was in Korea, I joined a local government-run Korean language class. It’s free and is 2 hours, 3 days a week.
I am a very slow language learner and have tried to learn Korean several times in the past. Now that I am here, I need to try harder and see if I can at least get to a basic level.
Three times a week is a lot more than I had planned, and with the homework that I get, it amounts to around 10 – 15 hours a week of study. I thought I would be having 1 hour a week lessons when planning to come to Korea!
The group I am with are all very nice, and the teacher is very passionate.
Fingers crossed this time I can get there…
